I'm the worst blogger ever..

Ok so I am a horrible blogger - if there is anyone out there reading this still, you will be surprized to see that I am creating my first entry in months! Charlotte is ten months old now and doing great! She started walking a month ago, on March 16th and has turned into quite the little traveler all over the house - She gets nervous walking in new situations, but acts like a pro, running all over the house. She continues to love music and dancing and stops to dance anytime she hears a song playing. She especially likes when her Daddy or Auntie Emmy play guitar - that really gets her moving!

We celebrated Charlotte's first Easter with family here at our house. Charlotte did her first egg hunt with Malena and Nicole (actually, her dad did the egg hunt and she laughed while he ran her around the yard!). We recently hung a swing on the back porch and she loves being outside and having the breeze blow through her hair.
The past few months have been an adventure with Mommy going back to work full time in January, and then finding out we are having another baby just two weeks after going back to work. Its been interesting, juggling both parents working full time, battling morning sickness and chasing after a busy baby while we are at home! We are so lucky to have Mimi and Auntie to take care of Charlotte while we work during the week - it makes things so easy to just be able to get up and go to work without worrying about having to get Charlotte ready and taking her anywhere. We are BLESSED and could not do it without them!
Baby G2 (as we are calling him/her) is due to arrive in October. The estimated due date is October 7th, but the baby will probably be born about a week before that. It will be so much easier to do a planned C-Section this time!!
Hopefully we are going to try to be better about posting more often!

A month in review...

Sitting with Auntie Coley on Thanksgiving!

Enjoying sitting in her highchair on Thanksgiving. When given a choice of any toys or kitchen items, Charlotte always chooses the kitchen items. Her top favorites are tupperware lids, canning lids and measuring spoons!

"Its ok Isla!" Says Charlotte "Our moms won't make us wear the same outfits all the time forever - just until we get a little bigger and can tell them that it drives us crazy!"

Walking in the beautiful autumn leaves!

Hanging with Grandpa on Thanksgiving!

In a daze from all the turkey apparently...

First bath in a big girl bathtub at Don and Suzanne's house! She had the giggles big time!

Five months old!

Its been a month since my last post! I can't get around to getting this stuff updated!! Things are going great. Charlotte is about to turn six months old and we continued to be amazed at her growth everyday. She is sitting in her high chair now like a big girl and trying to crawl! So far she can only go backwards, but she sure is trying! She tasted rice cereal for the first time on Thanksgiving, but didn't enjoy it too much. Its been getting better as the days go by, but at this point I'm not exactly sure how much food is actually getting into her little tummy, as she spits most of each bite right back out! She is, however, interested in trying to feed herself and wants to hold the spoon. I am learning that rice cereal is one of the stickier foods ever created!

We're getting ready to leave for a two week trip to PA next week to visit the LeBrocqs and the Maddens. We are looking forward to the cold winter weather, baking cookies, going to Timmy's wedding, and celebrating Kate's ENGAGEMENT!!!!!

Time for Halloween! Time for Halloween!

Mom why are you making me wear this? Mommy wore her banana shirt and held her little banana!
Charlotte licks a pumpkin. I went to the kitchen at Ali's to try to clean up and when I came back in the playroom, this is what I found - Charlotte licking a pumpkin.

A big girl sitting up all by herself next to Isla's pumpkin!

Isla was dressed as an apple to coordinate with Charlotte

Baby Banana!
We had a "Tiny Halloween Party" at Ali's today for the babies. Charlotte had a great time sitting up and playing with the toys - today was her first true day sitting up on her own like a big girl. She didn't love her Halloween costume, but she did fairly well wearing it for a short time so we could get some pictures. The rest of the time she hung out in her two, "So cute its scary" outfits.

Helping my mommy!

Charlotte gets a kick out of the bed getting made around her when I try to clean up in the morning. She loves to be propped up on the pillows while I pull up the sheets. I am thinking about buying her the mini dyson vacuum for kids (that really works!) when she gets older. Maybe she'll be my little helper!! I can only dream... We had a 4 1/2 month check up yesterday. Here are the stats:
15 lbs 9 oz
27 inches long
42 cm head circum
Dr. Page said she looks great and is developing well, meeting all of her milestones on time or ahead of schedule - we couldn't be happier. And now, she has TWO teeth!

Dancing with my Ghost

Charlotte loves the dancing ghost! She likes to wiggle along while it dances on her play mat - check out this video. Its hilarious! On another note, Charlotte's first tooth came through this morning! She seems much happier now that it is through the gum! We imagine she'll be getting more soon - I guess we have alot of crying and sleepless nights ahead of us!

4 Months Old!

Charlotte turned 4 months old last Sunday. Here are the stats:
26 inches long
15 pounds
Accomplishments: Has tried to sit up and will stay in a sitting position for about 30 seconds if you set her up, has discovered her toys and loves to grab stuff and try to stick it in her mouth, beginning to teethe (we haven't seen any pearly whites yet, but lots of drool and hand biting tells us she's on her way!), likes to babble constantly!, when she hears sounds, she looks to see where they are coming from, tries to feed herself a bottle (yesterday she held it for herself for about 2 minutes!), loves to smile at people and wiggle around - she is very active!!

We can't believe that 4 months has passed! It seems like just yesterday she was a brand new baby, barely opening her eyes - its amazing how much babies grow in such a short period of time!

Time for the Wild Animal Park!

Last weekend we took Charlotte to the Wild Animal Park to walk around and look at the animals. She seemed like she had a really good time. Its amazing how much farther you can walk around the animal park when you aren't 9 months pregnant! The last time we went there, I was about to deliver Baby Charlotte! The weather was nice and cool which made for a wonderful day. Charlotte liked looking at the elephants - since they are so big, she was able to see them well we think!
